Why Wayfinder?
Skiing is about exploration, making lifelong memories with friends and family, and pushing boundaries, but none of that is possible if your gear isn’t working for you. My mission is to change that, one skier at a time.
Building Wayfinder has always been about more than ski boots. It’s about the journey. The name reflects my belief that every skier is on their own path, of growth, of confidence, of joy.
Spend more time skiing and less time fiddling with your boots.
Not all of us have the privilege of living in places like Jackson, Bozeman, Park City, or Truckee with access to world class bootfitters. That doesn’t mean we don’t deserve to have a path toward boots that fit.
Wayfinder is a digital bootfitter, a bootfitter for the rest of us, if you will.
Who I am
This work is personal. Years ago, I struggled through the exhausting process of finding a boot that fit. The time, the energy, the frustration. It stuck with me. After years shipping new hardware at Apple and shaping autonomous vehicle products at Cruise and Aurora, I’ve learned that the best solutions blend technology with art. After a lot of tinkering, and getting my associate bootfitter certification, I built Wayfinder to apply that same philosophy to ski boots.
I’m a father of two wonderful children, devoted husband, and a solo founder.
Where do we go from here
I know Wayfinder isn’t just about me. It’s about us. The skiers, the tinkerers, the explorers who believe there’s always a better way. I’m not here to dictate the answer, I’m here to build it together, with you. Your feedback, your frustrations, your ideas: they’re the compass that will guide where I go next.
While I’m proud of what I’ve built so far, I’m even more excited for what’s ahead. New developments are already underway , so keep an eye out because this journey is only just beginning.
